Our very own Steve Davies, Uniserve Group IT and One World Platform Director, reached a very special milestone this week, when he celebrated his 60th birthday.

Steve, who joined Uniserve back in June 2010, has been a key presence at our Upminster Court Head Quarters for the past nine years and in contrast to his snooker namesake, is a much loved and ‘interesting’ character.

Working with our highly sophisticated One World supply chain management platform, Steve has overseen the infrastructure requirements as the software has continued to rise in prominence.

One World comprises rich functionality to manage vendors, optimise global supply chains, ensure trade compliance, track global shipments and analyse data, enabling users to make informed better decisions. One World continues to intelligently manage the supply chains of some of the UK’s leading brands.

As a birthday gift from staff, Steve was presented with a framed and signed West Ham United football shirt. He also received Bollinger champagne, a 2013 Renato Barolo bottle of wine and two signs for his famous log cabin.

Steve was both delighted and overwhelmed by the gift and generosity of his colleagues,  although the same cannot be said about his feelings on his beloved West Ham’s form.

Wales won the five nations by beating England in their final game.

West Ham finished 14th in the English First Division and Burnley became champions.
