Felixstowe Disruption Continues

Aug 23, 2018 | News

Felixstowe Port continues to suffer with significant operational delays since introducing their new IT operating system back in June.

OOCL are the latest carrier to move business away from the port. They have just confirmed their NET service between Europe and Turkey will be moving to Southampton this weekend.

The announcement from the carrier stated “We now reach a point where we can no longer tolerate these delays, which are not only impacting the supply chain of our UK customer base but also those connecting at other ports in the service rotation.”

Felixstowe have tried to introduce updates and improvements to assist with this ongoing issue but they have not yet had the desired impact.

Uniserve are still monitoring the situation closely and are continuing to manage the situation through our facilities in Felixstowe, Southampton & Tilbury.  If you require further information then please contact your local Uniserve representative.
