How Do Sea/Air Services Work?
We have recently been communicating the potential for Sea/Air services to be of benefit this peak season period, and below is a guideline to how our Sea/Air services work.
- Consignment moves via sea freight from the Far East into Dubai or nominated hub.
2. It is then trans-loaded immediately on to air freight pallets at the hub.
3. Consignment travels on immediate and direct air freight service into UK airport.
4. It is then customs cleared, including at weekends, before immediate delivery.
Below are examples of our typical routings, which are subject to change depending on current market conditions.
VIA DUBAI
- CHINA
- HONG KONG
- TAIWAN
VIA SINGAPORE
- CAMBODIA
- INDONESIA
- VIETNAM
With savings of approximately 15-20% over economy air from China to the UK, and cutting an average of 10 days off of the transit time of sea, we believe that some customers may benefit from this alternative, especially during the peak season.
