Sea/Air as a Peak Season Option?

Supporting our suite of air and sea freight services, Uniserve operate a number of multimodal solutions including sea/air when the cost of air freight may exceed budget and the sea freight transit is too long.
Our sea/air services work through hubs in South East Asia, and more commonly The Middle East. Amongst the reasons our customers choose to utilise this solution are
- To manage costs when market air freight rates from Asia climb
- To recover lost time on planned sea freight orders when they are delayed in manufacture
- To avoid capacity constraints and congestion at origin or even destination
- Strategically as part of their supply chain to manage the flow of inventory in to their distribution centres.

As we enter the peak season for sea freight and approach the peak for air, we anticipate that firmer air freight pricing and challenges on sea freight scheduling may increase the appeal of multimodal solutions.
With savings of approximately 15-20% over economy air from China to the UK, and cutting an average of 10 days off of the transit time of sea, we believe that some customers may benefit from this alternative.
Uniserve also operate air freight solutions to meet varying lead times and budgets, land/air services within South East Asia to access greater capacity and rail freight from China into mainland Europe and the UK.
We provide door to door solutions on the above services, with order visibility and tracking through agreed milestones.
