Uniserve were named winners of the Ocean Services category at the annual BIFA Freight Service Awards held in January.

Uniserve were recognised for our dynamic strategic development to provide the capacity, reliability and certainty that our customers needed to run their global businesses, something shipping lines were failing to deliver. In response, UniOcean, a trading division of the Uniserve Group, launched a new shipping line and brought in to service our own containerised ships, providing an express service from China to the UK. 25,000 brand new containers were acquired, a dedicated team of ship operators in the UK, Europe, China, and Vietnam were put in place and small port operations established to quickly and efficiently handle the land side services at origin and destination.

We have fully integrated all the ships operational software with our One World supply chain management platform, giving full visibility and operations management.

We believe UniOcean is the only shipping line that has a fully managed supply chain solution, with tried and tested technology that not only manages the actual against the plan but also measures carbon emissions and provides an offset solution for our customers.

Our strategy of using technology to manage risk, deploying dedicated express ships services, with total reliability and efficiency, whilst harnessing port operations that are not affected by congestion has been a complete change of direction from the traditional shipping lines. We are more agile, more effective, more technology focused and certainly driven to being customer centric focused.

In 2022 UniOcean, operated 9 ships, with more planned to come in 2023. A short sea service around Europe was also launched, providing Europe with deep sea and intra Europe container services, with reliability, efficiency, and technology at the forefront of our offering.
