Brands Hatch saw the last three races of the 2019 British Touring Car Championship recently, which brought Uniserve’s first season of motor racing sponsorship to a close.

Uniserve are one of the official sponsors of independent driver Mark Blundell, who’s drive in an Audi A3 Saloon marked his return to racing this year after a break of over fifteen years.

Mark will be well known to racing enthusiasts as a Formula One driver during the 1990’s, when he raced for Brabham, Ligier, Tyrrell and McClaren, achieving two top ten finishes in the F1 World Championships and three podium places.

His most notable milestone was winning the prestigious 24 Hour Le Mans title in 1992, along with fellow brit Derek Warwick and Frenchman Yannick Dalmas.

Mark was also well known as a Formula One commentator and analyst for ITV between 2002 and 2008, prior to ITV losing the coverage to the BBC.

Mark’s first season back was not an easy one and his progress was plighted by a number of race retirements. However, Mark and Uniserve are looking forward to a great partnership and hopefully more successful seasons to come.

Mark commented “On the track it has been a battle but I don’t think anyone can accuse us of anything but jumping into it head first. All I wanted at the start of the year was to make progress across the season and we can reflect positively on that.”
