Uniserve shortlisted for two Safety & Health Excellence Awards

Uniserve Group is proud to announce we’ve been shortlisted for two Safety & Health Excellence Awards at this year’s SHE Awards.
Our first shortlisting for the ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ Award recognises our commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and environmental stewardship. We’ve developed a sustainability model and a full benchmarking exercise in partnership with GB Global Group company, Beyondly. The ESG project enabled Uniserve to set an emission reduction target for 2050 via a two-phase approach.
Our second shortlisting is for the ‘Safer Logistics Award’ in relation to Seafast’s, a group company, Cold Chain operation at our Felixstowe Mega DC. Seafast introduced an automated solution to remove labour-intensive inbound manual process of devanning containers. By utilising robots and automating tasks that require awkward postures or repetitive motions, a healthier and more comfortable working environment has been created for employees, whilst significantly reducing workplace injuries and enhancing safety protocols.
Chris Chadwick, Uniserve’s Group Head of SHEQ, said: “To be shortlisted for these awards demonstrates an acknowledgement of Uniserve commitment to market leading safety performance and sustainability.”
The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony on 9th April 2025 at the Vox, NEC Birmingham.
