Uniserve Offer Tailor-Made Contingency Plans in Lieu of Port Strike Action
With a port strike seeming inevitable on the 21st August, due to a break down in communications between Hutchison Ports (UK) and Unite, never has there been a better time to get in touch with your CRM Manager at Uniserve to discuss putting tailor-made measures in place to keep your supply chains moving.
In a final bid to avoid industrial action, which threatens to be a complete shutdown of the Port of Felixstowe, causing severe, logistical disruptions for supply chains all over the globe (still trying to recover from COVID-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine), Hutchison Ports (UK) increased their original offer of a 5% pay increase to a 7% increase with union members also receiving a one-off bonus of £500, which appears to have been rebuffed.
Here at Uniserve we have the global scope and buying power to negotiate the lowest rates, we can offer port centric, off quay container storage options and 750,000 sq ft of ambient and freezer space.
Make us part of your contingency plan to avoid unwanted disruptions and additional costs to your clients and your business.
Talk to us today and be assured that we will continue to monitor the situation and are trying to ensure the impact to our customers is kept to a minimum.
For further information and a contingency plan we encourage you to contact your Customer Development Manager today on 01375 856060 or email crmteam@ugroup.co.uk to discuss.
