Uniserve Make The Finals
Uniserve have been named as a Global Freight Awards finalist this week, ahead of the London awards ceremony being held this November. The group have been nominated in the category of ’employer of the year’, for the ongoing development of our apprenticeship program, which led to the creation of the world’s first supply chain degree apprenticeship.
The Global Freight Awards honours individuals and companies who have achieved high standards in the freight and logistics industry during the previous twelve months. Now in its 22nd year, the event attracts a high accolade of industry experts and Uniserve are proud to have featured regularly in the past.
Uniserve Sea freight Director – Steve Ireland – collected the ‘Sea Freight Solutions Provider of the Year’ winners award most recently, and can be seen above receiving the award from TV funny man Milton Jones.
Uniserve Group, supported by the Supply Chain Academy and Leeds Trinity University, chaired the employer’s group that have driven and created the standard for the supply chain qualification. The trailblazer group included some of the UK’s biggest supply chain leaders, as well as many SME’s, universities, colleges and supply chain professional bodies.
Paul Stone – Uniserve Group HR Director – commented during the enrolment period “Its great to see our collective efforts coming to fruition for both businesses and individuals. Our difficult goal has always been to bring a much needed standard, backed by qualifications, to a very diverse industry. Through the degree apprenticeship we believe we have made a major step in the right direction”.
