Trader Support Service Contract extended until 2024
HMRC has confirmed the extension of the Trader Support Service until 31 December 2024. This reaffirms the commitment of HMRC and the UK government to provide long-term support for traders moving goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in alignment with the Windsor Framework agreement, established earlier this year with the EU.
Launched in 2020, the Trader Support Service will continue to serve as a complimentary resource for businesses. It simplifies the complexities of trading goods into Northern Ireland, offering education and assisting in the completion of essential declarations without the need for direct interaction with HMRC systems.
HMRC recognizes the significant support this service has provided to numerous traders over the past three years. The service will remain cost-free and will persist in its mission to educate and guide traders through customs, safety, and security declarations.
