Flights suspended in an attempt to contain Coronavirus
With British Airways airlines suspending flights to mainland China, it is expected that others will follow suit to stop the coronavirus outbreak from spreading further. It is as yet unconfirmed whether such suspensions will extend out to airports and ports and if any closures are to be expected.
Uniserve are working closely with their partners in China to obtain live updates of the situation. An impact is already felt across the logistics and manufacturing industry with predicted shipment delays.
Zhejiang province which covers Ningbo will follow Shanghai as well as Shenzhen(Yantian Port), Guangdong province in extending the Chinese New Year holidays to the 9th February. Those expecting shipments are strongly advised to contact their account managers for updates on timelines. Companies are also encouraged to reach out to their production partners in China for a more accurate insight on when production is likely to resume.
