COVID-19: Uniserve manage urgent supply of PPE from China & around the world

Uniserve established a dedicated PPE team to bring in urgently needed equipment from around the globe. Organised just 10 days ago after appointment, vital PPE equipment is already on the frontline with doctors and nurses across the UK.
Uniserves’ super accelerated PPE supply chain is now in full flow, covering every mode of transport and taking top priority through our global network of operations and facilities.
By far, the most complex operation is the management of the Chinese supply chain through an air freight charter programme, which saw the first flight arrive on Friday carrying over 350,000 items of mixed PPE equipment onboard. This included ventilator parts, respirators, face masks, scrubs, aprons and protective eye wear, all carried in the cabin and the belly hold of the Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Our PPE team, warehouse and transport divisions worked through the night to ensure the desperately needed PPE was delivered first thing Saturday morning.
Now that the first charter has been delivered and the second arrived, from here on in, there will virtually be daily PPE flights from Shanghai. All flights will be managed by Uniserve, delivered and treated with the same urgency and priority as the first charter.
We are managing millions of units of PPE from all around the world, with every piece of equipment being monitored and their status and visibility shared with everyone who needs to know in real time.
We know how important our job is and we will make sure that every piece of equipment arrives safely from the factories to the people who need them, as fast as humanly possible.
We treat our responsibility very seriously. Our PPE team as well as the Uniserve global network are dedicated to providing supply chain solutions which everyone can rely on.
We are making a real difference to help save lives during these unprecedented times and we are so proud of the expertise, commitment and professionalism of our employees in the way we have deployed our services and facilities so rapidly to support our country.
