Uniserve Avoid Turkish Delays

by | Sep 12, 2017

Recent track subsidence on German railway lines has wreaked havoc with some logistics routes from Southern Europe and Turkey into the UK.

The majority of intermodal services utilise the ro-ro ferry service from Istanbul to Trieste (Italy), before transferring to a rail freight journey through Germany. These services have recently been subjected to unprecedented backlogs and delays at the port of Trieste, while the German authorities continue to repair the lines.

Fortunately for Uniserve customers, we have not experienced any of these major delays. We are happy to report business as usual for our all-road driver accompanied service, and pleased to confirm our unrivalled 7/8 day transit times have been maintained throughout.

John Henderson, our European Road Freight Manager, commented “By providing an all-road driver accompanied service, we are able to maintain full control of our vehicles and are not restricted by rail lines, meaning we are able to react live to developing issues and avoid potential delays. The team and I are very proud of the reliability and consistency of our Turkish service.”

Should you require any further information on our Turkish and European services, then please call 01708 259400, or email info@ugroup.co.uk.
