Uniserve Manchester received a boost this week as Virgin Atlantic launched two new US services to and from the UK’s busiest Northern airport.

Virgin Atlantic have become the first ever carrier to provide direct flights between Manchester and San Francisco, which they are now operating three times per week. They have also added a twice weekly service to and from Boston.

The new services are good news for our customers in the North as it increases the direct consolidations we are able to offer to and from the region.

Andy Needs, Uniserve’s Northern Region Director, commented  “Virgin have been flying to and from Manchester for 20 years and we’re delighted they have launched these flights”.

He added “San Francisco, in particular, is one of the world’s leading tech areas, hosting massive brand names like Google and Twitter, so we expect the services to deliver a boost to the North’s economy”.
