Uniserve were presented with the prestigious ‘Air Cargo Service Award 2016’ at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) awards ceremony last night. The annual event was held at The Brewery London and attended by hundreds of industry representatives, although our very own Leighton Bonnett was the one to collect the major prize from host Sharon Davies, MBE.

In deciding on the winner the judges felt that Uniserve’s innovation was an excellent response to changing logistics sectors and economic pressures. Showing clear evidence of cost savings, customers in the supply chain benefitted in both product integrity and profitability.

Winning the airfreight award for a record breaking fifth time delighted Leighton, our Airfreight Director, who later commented: “being five time winners of a major industry award such as this is a testament to our consistency. Being continually recognised for maintaining high standards and service levels over a long period of time is a fantastic achievement”. Leighton added: “I would like to thank all of the staff who have made this happen, I believe we have the best team in the industry”.

We won our first Air Cargo Service Award back in 2002 and went on to win again in 2004, 2005 and 2010. This award compliments our November success when we won the Sea Freight Provider of the Year 2016 at the Global Freight Awards, confirming our ability to provide high level solutions across multiple transport modes.
