COVID-19: From premier spirits drink manufacturer to NHS hand sanitiser provider
Uniserve normally move high quality alcoholic beverages for many of our drinks customers around the world.
However, in light of the coronavirus, one of our clients has changed their business model to support the national effort in beating the virus. They re-engineered their product and manufacturing process for the production of much needed hand sanitiser.
Uniserve were called in to urgently transport ethanol across the UK, a key ingredient in the production of hand sanitiser, which is desperately needed for the NHS in their fight against COVID-19.
To support them in their new direction, Uniserve were tasked to transport full loads of ethanol, which is classified as hazardous goods, from Norfolk to Hereford, in specialist tankers as quickly and safely as possible.
We have delivered hundreds of thousands of litres of the raw product in record time to our customers’ factory, so millions of units of hands sanitiser can be made and delivered to the NHS.
Alongside our work for the NHS & DHSC, our team is proud to support the efforts of like-minded organisations to help defeat the pandemic.
We have extensive knowledge and experience in managing the supply chains and moving amongst many things, alcoholic beverages and hazardous cargo around the world.
