Ciara Storm Alert
Weather alerts have been issued across the UK as storm Ciara is set to hit from Saturday 8th February and is expected to run into next week. The storm has been labelled with a “danger to life” warning.
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for the next four days, as Britain braces itself for snow, torrential downpours of rain and strong winds of an estimated 80 mph.
Some UK airports are considering flight cancellations whilst Network Rail could be faced with speed restrictions. Blocked roads should also be expected in parts of the UK.
The severe weather will inevitably have an impact on logistics including airports (flight schedules), seaports (vessel schedules) and UK transport. Ship and aircraft schedules and operational closures are likely to change as the storm makes its way through the UK.
Uniserve would like to warn in advance of possible service disruption as a result of the storm and the knock on consequences throughout next week. Our team will be dedicated to mitigating disruptions where possible.
We encourage clients to contact us throughout next week for updates and where required revised scheduling, we will of course be in regular contact with you through Uniserve’s account managers and operational staff.
If you require any specific updates please do not hesitate to contact the Uniserve team by emailing us at info@ugroup.co.uk
