Technology The Key To Brexit And Beyond

Uniserve hosted the ‘Brexit and Beyond’ conference at Upminster Headquarters recently on behalf of the UniEurope Partnership. The agenda was discussing Brexit, the affects it has had and will have on our industry, the UniEurope Partnership and multi scenario customer solutions.
The two day event was attended by partners throughout Europe and by the management of Uniserve European and Commercial teams.
Uniserve were well placed to present the Brexit position to our European colleagues. As technical advisors for the government led Alternative Arrangements Commission, we are currently advising on border control, customs clearance, product, cargo, vehicle and trailer tracking and movement, temperature, shock and humidity tracking, including geofencing.

Operationally, it was agreed that every effort had been made to be prepared for what Brexit eventually brings. Within the partnership, discussions and strategy for covering a no deal Brexit have been ongoing for three years and variations to the UK’s leaving deal have been adequately planned for since Mrs May’s original deal was made public.
The main focus of the conference was to bring the partnership together, to ensure UniEurope continues to be best placed for meeting all European customer requirements for 2020 and beyond, to agree expansion and demands for all partners and to continue to develop cross European trade lanes.
Technology is at the heart of UniEurope, utilising our global visibility and communications platform One World. The partnership agreed to promote this in each country to provide clients with totally unique European and global supply chain managed services to SKU level. Not only allowing for full inventory control and management, but also automated and immediate customs clearance at both origin and destination.
UniEurope is a European brand that competes with the multinationals based on a partnership of likeminded and extremely capable private companies that specialise across multi modal freight services, warehousing, distribution and customs.

Uniserve Group Managing Director – Iain Liddell – commented “The European movement of goods really is only one small part in a complex puzzle of the supply chain. Our digital solutions through One World start at the root of the business, from defining key components at the point of the system configuration to forecasting future demand. All of these elements can be used in isolation or they can be used together to maximise their value”.
“The UniEurope Partnership provides the best supply chain management integration available on the market, while offering exceptional local knowledge and service.”
