Hanjin Unloaded at Ports
Latest reports on the Hanjin situation are that almost one third of their ships have now been unloaded. 28 vessels from a fleet of 97 have been discharged at ports around the world.
After the effective demise of the world’s seventh largest shipping line, it was estimated last week that around $120 billion of goods were stuck on vessels globally.
Ships had been seized in ports or even stranded outside them since the announcement, causing havoc within supply chains. Hopefully this is a sign that the situation is beginning to improve.
