100,000 Civil Servants to Strike on March 15th

It has been reported that over 100,000 members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union, who are civil service workers, are set to go on strike on Wednesday 15 March 2023. This comes after a nationwide ballot in February, where HMRC members of PCS voted in favor of industrial action, meaning that some HMRC staff will participate in the strike. Additionally, the strike will involve members of the UK-based Home Office, including Border Force staff.
The strike is expected to have an impact on the movement of goods through UK ports, airports, and Inland Border Facilities on the 15th of March 2023. Moreover, it is likely to affect individuals traveling to the UK from UK Border controls in Calais, Dunkirk, and Coquelles in Northern France.
As a result of this strike, there may be delays and disruptions that could affect your business operations.
Strike Action:
- Dates: Wednesday, 15th March
- Delays for shipments: High
