Delays at Felixstowe Port
Felixstowe Port is currently facing significant delays which are resulting in longer unpacking times and additional quay rental charges. Hanjin Shipping’s demise has resulted in excess of 10,000 teu being held on quay which added to an already stocked situation. Costs incurred are being passed on to exporters and importers in the form off a Felixstowe Port ‘Emergency Restitution Surcharge’.
The following statement has been issued by the Felixstowe ports.
