MD Sets Course For UniEurope

While the UK continues to be at odds with Europe over a trade deal and there being little certainty over exactly how the UK will be interacting with the Customs Union, the next few months are obviously critical to European logistics.
Iain has recently been working on the continued development of the UniEurope Pan-European Logistics Partnership, which provides international and domestic distribution facilities and solutions throughout all major cities in Europe, using the highly intelligent One World operating platform.
Also on the agenda has been preparation of our Brexit-busting ‘European Distribution Centre’ project, operating global supply chain and fulfilment services through Barcelona, Hamburg, Luxembourg and Prague, with seamless UK and non-EU integration.
Iain commented “Having welcomed Kim Overman (Group COO) and Roger Clements (Group CFO) to the organisation over recent months, I am now in a position to spend more strategic time focusing on what is the most important issue for UK and European logistics right now.”
“We’ve always focused on innovation and backed that up with investment, which we will continue to do. Lately, that has not been as easily achievable during exceptional and unprecedented times for the UK”.
“To ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry we have had to plan for the eventuality of being in, or outside of the customs union, which we have done. I now want to personally oversee the execution of these plans for the long term benefit of our customers”.
