G20 Summit Golden Week
The next Group of Twenty (G20) Summit will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Providence, China, on the 4th & 5th September.
To minimize pollution, the Chinese government has ordered the closing of factories within 150 KM of Hangzhou from August 26 until September 6. This area includes the main cities of both Shanghai and Ningbo.
We strongly advise importers who are buying from this area of China to contact their appropriate Chinese partners to establish whether they will be impacted by the closures.
Please also be aware that the annual build up to China National Holiday, Golden Week 1st-7th October, immediately follows the summit. This could result in increased pressure on space during the period. We recommend that orders are adjusted where possible to avoid delays.
