Bath Rugby recently hosted a Uniserve Group event at their prestigious Farleigh House training headquarters, which was attended by staff, customers and a number of their own familiar personalities.

Speaking at the dinner were Bath’s Director of Business Development and former Bath and Barbarian scrum half – Matt Powell (far left), former Bath, England and Lions hooker – Lee Mears (left centre), Director of Rugby and former All Black – Todd Blackadder (right centre) and current Bath and South Africa Flanker – Francois Louw (far right).

The gathering was arranged in conjunction with Uniserve Group’s sponsorship of Bath Rugby this year, and the entertaining speakers certainly made it an evening to be remembered for those that were in attendance.

Of particular note were the strategies used through their youth academy and the ongoing development of their prize assets – their players. Uniserve Commercial Director Gary Cobbing felt there were real synergies between Bath Rugby and Uniserve Group in this area.

Gary commented “It was really interesting when listening to Todd speaking about their development methodologies. A lot of what he talked about was very similar to the values we practice, although there were some really useful insights that we will see if we can adapt for our business”.
