Chinese Government to grant companies permission to return to work

Today is the first official working day in some provinces across China following the coronavirus epidemic and the CNY holiday extension. Companies have been advised to attain permission from their local Chinese Government before resuming work which, once granted, contains a number of compulsory conditions.
These include the provision of protective wear and products for all staff, and the preparation of isolation rooms (one per person) for staff members who spent CNY in other cities. Isolated staff members must work in isolation for 14 days to prevent a potential outbreak. If an infection is detected in the company, all staff members will be quarantined and the cost of the isolation and diagnostics will be charged to the company directly.
Numerous manufacturing businesses and ports across China have resumed work today, whilst others still remain under extended closures as part of the containment precaution. Air and ocean carriers have reported various return to work dates, some extending out as far as 1st March. Latest updates include:

The extended delay continues to have a direct impact on global supply chains as most local authorities in mainland China approach to limit the spread of the virus by way of quarantining people and those who have travelled from another province. Companies are therefore advised to keep in close contact with their logistics & manufacturing account managers for up to date information on expected delays and revised schedules.
Uniserves’ teams in China will continue working from home throughout this week, talking to factories, transport operators, ports and airports to feedback information in the coming days.
We have set up a senior management team to work with customs on predicted demand created by order delays and sourcing solutions to support them.
