Keep up to date with the new SPS import controls
Keep up to date with the new SPS import controls under the Border Target Operating Model (BTOM).
As we approach the implementation date of the new SPS import controls on 31st January 2024, DEFRA is taking proactive steps to assist traders in navigating the upcoming changes, applying to live animals, germinal products, animal products, plants and plant products.
A series of webinars has been designed to provide traders with a clear understanding of the new requirements in order to prepare effectively. These include:
- Prepare for import controls for animal products
- Importing POAO from the EU to GB
- BTOM: What does this mean for exports from Ireland?
Alternatively, you can find a range of information leaflets aimed at importers in Great Britain and exporters in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
All traders must ensure they are prepared to provide the necessary CHED/Notification documentation via IPAFF.
For more guidance on how we can help with the above, contact our Customer Relationship Management team today on 01375 856060 or email crmteam@ugroup.co.uk to discuss.
