Major shipping alliances are ramping up blank sailings for the upcoming month.
Here’s what you need to know:
• 64 cancelled sailings announced between weeks 42-46 (14th Oct – 17th Nov)
• 9% of scheduled sailings affected across major East-West routes
Breakdown by alliance:
• THE Alliance: 12 cancellations
• OCEAN Alliance: 10 cancellations
• 2M Alliance: 9 cancellations
• Non-Alliance services: 8 cancellations
Despite these blank sailings, schedule reliability is improving. On average, 90% of ships are expected to sail as scheduled over the next five weeks.
