Daily Ocean News Bulletin – 10th September
Felixstowe Port
Road – Road works between Cambridge & Huntingdon causing traffic delays of up to 1 hour. One lane closed and slow traffic due to stalled truck on A14 Eastbound from J24 A1198 (Godmanchester) to J29 (Bar Hill). In the construction area. Lane one (of two) is closed.
Port – No issues reported at present.
Vessel – Msc Bettina (Working) Cosco Shipping Alps (Working) Vaga Maersk (Inbound) SM Tacoma (Inbound) Maersk Emden (Inbound).
Weather – No issues reported at present.
Southampton Port
Road – Slow traffic due to earlier stalled lorry on A34 Southbound at M3 J9 (Winnal roundabout / Winchester North). Lorry now recovered and lanes reopened. Lanes two and three (of three) were closed at the traffic lights to enter the roundabout following the breakdown. Further traffic delays due to earlier stalled car on M25 clockwise from J23 A1(M) J1 (South Mimms) to J24 A111 Stagg Hill (Potters Bar). Lane one (of four) was closed until around 09:10. There was a short hold the traffic between 09:00 and 09:05. All lanes have now been re-opened.
Port – Fog experienced at the terminal this morning. As a result both Shipside and Landside operations were suspended since 05:00 hrs however now back operational.
Vessel – MSC Asya (Working) NYK Rumina (Working) Quebec Express (Working) CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin (Inbound) Navi Baltic (Inbound) CMA CGM Georg Forster (Inbound).
Weather – No issues reported at present.
London Gateway Port
Road – Delays of two minutes and delays easing on M25 anticlockwise between J26 A121 (Waltham Abbey) and J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield). Average speed 20 mph.
Port – No issues reported at present.
Vessel – Nordserena (Working) Lars Maersk (Working) MSC Shannon (Working) Ebba Maersk (Inbound) St Louis Express (Inbound) Rio Grande Express (Inbound) Domingo (Inbound) MSC Ingrid (Inbound).
Weather – No issues reported at present.
